Leicester have rejected two bids for Man Utd target Harry Maguire, Brendan Rodgers confirmed the news following Leicester’s victory over Scunthorpe in which Maguire played the second half.
Manchester United are keen on the England defender with champions City also believed to be interested.
But Leicester is demanding close to £90m for Maguire and insist none of the bids they have received have met their asking price.
Maguire is believed to want to move to Old Trafford this summer with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making him his No.1 transfer priority.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also wants a replacement for departing captain Vincent Kompany.
Speaking after the win over Scunthorpe, Rodgers said: “We don’t have to sell Harry.
“Harry has been absolutely brilliant about this right from the word go. He’s a top, top player and a top guy. I think it’s important the supporters know that.
“I’ve been in this situation before with players and it’s not always easy but Harry has been absolutely superb. We’ve had a chat about it, obviously

“He’s happy and I tip my hat to him for the way he’s dealt with all this because it can be unsettling.”
“I’m relaxed about it all. We understand the situation from all points of view because United and City are big clubs
“But unless they meet our valuation he won’t be sold and it’s as simple as that.”
United are believed to have made an initial offer of £70m for Maguire, while an £80m bid was mooted at the weekend.
It is unclear if either of those bids has come from Manchester United, who remain the frontrunners for Maguire’s signature.
Ayoze Perez scored the only goal of the game as Leicester beat Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.
